3 Things You Can Do Alone…Improve Your Game

As I write this, we continue to adapt to stay-at-home orders or recommendations as a result of the Covid-19 virus. Let me offer you 3 things you can do alone to improve your pickleball game.

Practice Split-Step 

Just like a boxer practice shadow boxing, you can practice the split-step alone. If you aren’t sure you are doing it right, read this post.

Strengthen Your Body

Pickleball is a sport that requires strong quads, glutes, back, and abs. As you get older this becomes increasingly important. You don’t need a partner to do any of the exercises I show you below.

 

 

Improve Conditioning

Pickleball requires rapid acceleration and 30 seconds to 1-minute spurts of high intensity followed by recovery. Sorry, but wind sprints are the best way to practice this.
